This year's theme is The Future Is In Our Hands! Celebrating Our Work With Infants, Toddlers, and Families. The Institute will highlight the crucial role early childhood professionals play in supporting optimal outcomes for the youngest children and their families served by Early Head Start, Migrant and Seasonal Head Start, and other programs for infants, toddlers, and families. Knowledgeable and skilled early childhood professionals deliver effective services that improve outcomes for infants, toddlers, and families.

The 13th Annual Birth To Three Institute presentations will:

  • Celebrate the role and impact of teachers, home visitors and caregivers in the lives of very young children and their families;
  • Illuminate the essential role of families in all aspects of early education and child development;
  • Provide opportunities to share knowledge and improve skills to enhance the work of early childhood professionals with infants, toddlers and families;
  • Emphasize the importance of practical, sound, and relevant approaches to professional development that will lead to improved day-to-day practices;
  • Link research to practice focusing on the importance of early relationships for healthy infant/toddler development; and
  • Highlight the importance of quality environments to meet the needs of the increasingly diverse population in Early Head Start programs.

Birth To Three Institute is Going Green

BTT is Going Green!
We Are Shaping Our Children's Future

The future is in our hands. At the Birth To Three Institute (BTT), we have set a goal for ourselves to protect and preserve the environment for our children's future and generations to come by supporting ecologically responsible activities. Our first step toward that goal is the reduction of paper use and waste. The BTT program is printed on recycled paper. In addition, all BTT presentation handouts will be available on the Institute CD only. Thank you for supporting our commitment to a “greener” future for our children.
