Audioconferences

The EHS NRC conducts three national audioconferences each year as a part of its Distance Education events. An audioconference is a telephone conference call which features expert faculty and EHS program representatives on select topics related to EHS program services. Participants are able to listen to discussion among the panelists, and can pose questions for the speakers over the telephone.

We are pleased to announce the programs in the 2003 Summer Audioconference Series!

June 18, 2:00-3:30pm EDT Fathers at Heart: Supporting Fathers in Developing Nurturing Relationships with Their Children (also offered in Spanish: Papas de Corazon: Apoyo a los papás en el desarrollo de relaciones de crianza con sus hijos will air July 16, 2:00 - 3:30 pm EDT)

Supplemental materials for Fathers at Heart (English version) are now available! Click on the preceding link to download them. Information on how to access the audioconference will be faxed or emailed to registered participants by Monday, June 16, 2003.

July 23, 2:00 -3:30 pm EDT Not Defeated: Principles for Supporting Families in Crisis

August 27, 2:00 - 3:30 pm EDT Supporting the Most Vulnerable: Working with Infants and Toddlers Served by the Child Welfare System

2002 Audioconference Series

The three audioconferences in the EHS NRC Infant & Toddler 2002 Audioconference Series addressed the following topics (click on the links below to obtain the supporting materials in pdf format):

May 22nd: Growing Your Own: Building Qualified Staff from the Inside Out

June 25th: Great Expectations: Working with Expectant Teens

July 30th: Prevention and Promotion: Building Relationships to Support the Mental Health of Infants, Toddlers, and Their Families

The audiotapes of the audioconferences from each year are for sale. Each tape comes with a master set of resource materials to support participant learning. The tapes are priced to cover the expenses for the duplication of the tapes, the master set of supplemental materials, and shipping and handling. Information will be posted here when the 2002 audiotape series is avialable.
