Abstract
Babies may become fussy or cry a lot for many reasons including hunger, need for attention, and illness. Staff and pregnant and breastfeeding women are encouraged to feed babies at the earliest signs of hunger. If a baby continues to be fussy after being held and fed, he or she may be sick and need medical attention.
